The history behind Ford

Ford was established by Henry Ford in 1903. For the first few years, things were slow, but then in 1908, the cheap Ford T was launched. After that, things gathered speed.

As the first one in the world, Henry Ford introduced the assembly line production. This meant that the production time for Ford T could be reduced from 12.5 hours to just 2 hours and 40 minutes per car. The model was extremely popular and sold 15 million cars up to 1927.

Today, Ford is the second largest car manufacturer in the US and one of the top 5 in the world.

Who buys Ford

Ford has been around for many years – also in Denmark. Its long history has given the cars a reputation as reliable cars that offer good value for money. Micro and mini cars

Ford KA: Micro car that has been in production since 1996 and it is available as a 5-door hatchback or a 4-door saloon. It is the smallest model from Ford. It is available with both a 1.2L petrol engine and a 1.3L diesel engine.
Ford Fiesta: Microcar that was launched back in 1976 and is available in a 3-door and a 5-door hatchback. Amongst other things, it is available with a 1.0L and 1.6L EcoBoost petrol engine, as well as a 1.4L and 1.6L turbo diesel engine.

Mid-sized cars

Ford Focus: Small mid-sized car available as a 3-door and 5-door hatchback, a 4-door saloon, a 5-door estate car or a 2-door coupé-cabriolet. Amongst other things, it is available with a 1.0L and 1.6L EcoBoost petrol engine or a 1.6L and 2.0L turbo diesel engine.
Ford Mondeo: Large mid-sized car that was first launched back in 1992 and it is available as a 4-door saloon, a 5-door hatchback or a 5-door estate car. It is available with a 1.0L, 1.5L and 2.0L petrol engine or a 1.5L, 1.6L and 2.0L diesel engine.
Mazda MX-5: Small mid-sized car launched in 1989. It is available as a 2-door cabriolet only. Its petrol engine comes in two sizes: A 1.5L providing 129 HP or a 2.0L providing 160 HP.

MPVs

Ford Galaxy: : 5-door MPV that was launched back in 1995. The current version is available with a 1.5L EcoBoost petrol engine and a 2.0L diesel engine.
Ford C-Max: : 5-door compact MPV that first saw the light of day in 2003. C-Max is available with a 1.0L or 1.6L petrol engine as well as a 1.6L or 2.0L diesel engine.
Ford S-Max: : 5-door, 7-seater MPV that has been produced since 2006. It is available with a 1.6L or 2.0L petrol engine or a 1.8L, 2.0L and 2.2L diesel engine.
