Second-hand parts for Mercedes
The chance to buy second-hand parts is often overlooked. Sometimes out of ignorance. Other times, out of fear that second-hand parts do not last as long as new ones. However, you can save a lot of money by choosing second-hand instead of new. The prices for second-hand parts are significantly lower and, if you buy second-hand parts from us, you will get the same warranty as you get on new parts.
It can quickly become expensive when your Mercedes-Benz needs a repair. Although Mercedes has the lowest price level for parts in proportion to the new price of the car, it is much more fun to spend the money on something else instead.
But if you choose second-hand parts for your Mercedes-Benz instead of new ones, you can save money. It gives you more money to spend on fun things. At the same time, you are still getting a full warranty on your parts.
What are second-hand parts?
Second-hand parts are parts that were previously installed on a car that has been scrapped. Although the car ended up at the car breaker, parts of it may well be in perfect working order.
For instance, parts that are newer than the car. In other words, parts that were changed during the car’s lifetime. It could also be parts from a car totalled in an accident. For instance, if a car is hit from behind, many parts in the front end are often undamaged.
Before the car is scrapped, all the reusable parts are dismantled. They undergo a thorough quality check and, in some cases, minor refurbishment. Afterwards, they are ready to be reused in another car.
How long do second-hand auto parts last?
Although the parts are second-hand, the durability is good. So good that we cover all the auto parts that you buy from us with a full warranty. This means that you don’t need to worry about the durability.
We work together with a number of carefully selected car breakers in Denmark and Europe. They are experts in telling whether an auto part is in sufficiently good working condition to be reused. The quality is therefore always the best when you buy second-hand parts.

Behind Mercedes
The car brand Mercedes-Benz belongs to the German corporation Daimler AG. It was formed from the merger of Karl Benz’s and Gottlieb Daimler’s companies back in 1926. However, the history of Mercedes actually goes all the way back to 1886. That was when Karl Benz made the first car with an internal combustion engine.
The name Mercedes derives from a car model manufactured by Daimler at the very beginning of the 20th century. It was named after Emil Jellinek’s daughter. Jellinek was the engineer of the first model, which was also given the name Mercedes in 1901. The name stuck and has since become the name of the car brand itself, as we know it today.
Innovation
Over time, the company came up with a wide range of exciting inventions, and soon everybody in the car business was using them. In fact, many of them are still used today, such as:
- The internal combustion engine
- Airbags
- ESP (Electronic Stability Programme), which helps to prevent skidding
- EBA (Emergency Brake Assist), which helps the driver to brake in an emergency
High-quality luxury
Mercedes mainly manufactures luxury cars. The target group is typically business people, CEOs and wealthy people choosing a stylish design and a comfortable cabin, as well as a good quality car that is reliable and makes it bearable to drive many miles every year.
This description fits well with Mercedes-Benz. A new survey has found the car brand to be among the four most reliable brands. Another survey for Reuters showed that Mercedes has the lowest number of recalls among all car brands throughout history.
Another important characteristic is the design, which always takes pride of place at Mercedes. In 2016, for instance, the new Mercedes E-Class won the prestigious Red Dot Award for its innovative headlamp design.
Models
Mercedes have been behind a wide – almost legendary – range of models since the beginning. They also have great success with many of their current models. Here is a quick overview of some of the model series that are currently in production:
- A-Class: Small mid-sized car, available as a 3-door or 5-door hatchback
- B-Class: Luxury compact MPV, available as a 5-door hatchback

Protect the environment by choosing recycling
Auto recycling is an easy way to actively help protect our environment, because the process of dismantling and preparing second-hand parts is significantly less of a strain on the environment than new production.
The production of new parts emits a large amount of CO2, associated with the extraction of material and the subsequent processing. A number of chemicals are also used in manufacturing.
Auto recycling involves far less processing, leading to a significant reduction in CO2 emissions. Also, recycling involves hardly any chemicals.
