Find second-hand spare parts for your Saab 9-5
Car repair jobs are often expensive, and it makes people look into the options for cheaper alternatives. Some choose to visit one of the neighbouring countries to get their car fixed, but you can easily make car repair jobs cheaper even in an expensive country like Denmark.
The usual approach is to use new spare parts for repair jobs, but often there is absolutely no need for that. If you have an ordinary car such as a Saab 9-5, you are very likely to find good second-hand spare parts for your car. Often, these only cost a fraction of their original price, but they can easily last just as long.

Saab 9-5, well-known Scandinavian quality
In 1997, the Swedish car manufacturer Saab had yet another model ready, and it was to become a brilliant example of why Saab was such an acclaimed car brand for many years.
It replaced Saab 9000, a model launched in 1985 which was in need of a replacement. The result was Saab 9-5, a great car in all aspects, which initially was only available in a saloon version.
Saab 9-5 belonged to the upper end of medium-sized cars and, as expected from a Swedish car, it was amongst the best in its class with regard to safety. In Euro NCAP’s crash test Saab 9-5 got a top ranking with 31 points.
It is built on the GM2900 platform developed by Opel and known from various Opel models. In 1999, the first SportsCombi version of Saab 9-5 was introduced, and it was the first estate car produced by Saab since 1978.
Saab 9-5 is available with several different petrol engines, from 2.0 to 3.0 l as well as three diesel engines.
The second version of Saab 9-5 was not launched until 2010, but it was too late to save the beleaguered car manufacturer. As we all know, Saab went bankrupt in 2011.
When comparing Saab 9-5 to its competitors such as BMW 5 Series, Mercedes E-Class and similar cars, it performs quite well. It is a matter of preference as they all have their advantages and disadvantages. But, if you like Scandinavian cars, Saab 9-5 may be a good choice.
However you should keep in mind that Saab has gone bankrupt, and spare parts can be difficult to find. This drives up the price. By using our database, you can find several second-hand parts that may extend the life of your Saab 9-5.
