About Ford Mondeo
Ford Mondeo belongs to the mid-sized car class and has been produced by the German car manufacturer since 1993. It was the successor to Ford Sierra that was produced from 1982 to 1993. The model has seen several updates over the years and is now in its fourth generation.
Ford Mondeo is also known as Ford Fusion in the US and is available today as either a 4-door sedan, 5-door hatchback or 5-door station wagon. It comes with either Ford’s award-winning EcoBoost 1.0 or 2.0 l petrol engine or Duratorq 1.5 or 2.0 l diesel engines. A hybrid version combining a 2.0 l diesel engine with an electric engine is also available.
A popular and award-winning car
Ford Mondeo has won a number of awards over the years. For example, it has been voted Car of the Year by recognised car magazines such as What Car?, Fifth Gear and Top Gear. Furthermore, it has received the remark ‘Excellent’ in the Euro NCAP crash test and has been a Company Car of the Year in Denmark in both 2015 and 2016.
Who buys Ford Mondeo?
Ford Mondeo is very much aimed at families with children who need plenty of space and a car with great driving comfort. It is also extremely popular as a company car. This is due to the fact – in addition to the afore-mentioned – that its price is reasonable compared to its competitors, such as VW Passat.
